Our client is an independent insurance agency that works exclusively with churches, schools, and ministry-based, non-profit organizations. They serve nearly 3,000 ministries in California, Arizona, and Nevada. They are in search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper that will be responsible for administering the daily accounting operations of the agency.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities: Maintains full general ledger maintenance and analyzes and verifies general ledger system for accuracy. Records various transactions, such as deposits, disbursements and transfers between accounts as needed. Responsible for the quality of payroll administration; including time off accrual processes, tracking of sick leave, and time tracking processes that follow company standards. Assists in HR processes including new full-time on-boarding activities, benefits administration, expense reporting and record keeping. Responsible for producing accurate and timely company financial statements. Coordinates and provides support for the annual audit. Responds to various accounting and financial questions by researching data. Implements internal control procedures and ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Performs related work as required. Eligibility Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting or finance. Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to work independently and have excellent time management skills. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are expected. Accurate data entry skills. Ability to compile facts and figures. Communicate in a positive manner with ChurchWest staff as well as with our external customers to contribute to a positive, pleasant work environment. Intermediate or Advance Excel knowledge. Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality with integrity.
