Overview

The Information Technology (IT) Asset Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining processes, policies, standards, systems and measurements that effectively manage the company’s IT hardware, software and services portfolio with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives, and governance. Come join our Corporate team located in Bloomfield, CT.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets from introduction to retirement
  • Maintain ITAM tools to effectively manage licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organization’s software and hardware assets
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of the organization’s software and hardware assets
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to maximize value creation
  • Ensure maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are reviewed, approved and processed prior to expiration.
  • Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services
  • Develop procurement strategies to optimize technology spend.
  • Eliminate waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing IT asset resources and avoiding asset purchases that are unnecessary.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor contracts through effective planning and monitoring
  • Perform audit tasks including verification of software assets with license contracts, hardware assets with actual inventory, and initiate corrective actions
  • Manage activities concerning license compliance audits
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
  • Support the budgeting process for IT spend requirements
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators and recommend/implement process improvements
  • Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration, or in other related field
  • IAITAM Certification such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM
