The Chief Human Resources Officer serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, provides expert consultation and directs administration of the human resource functions of the college including: strategic human resource planning, workforce planning, talent management, compensation management, benefits management, workers compensation, employee engagement, performance management, and professional development to provide the college with the best talent available and to position the College as the employer of choice. The Chief Human Resources Officer plays a leadership role in the development of policies and procedures affecting employment at the College. The Chief Human Resources Officer is responsible for fostering a climate consistent with the College’s core values of Respect and Inclusion, Integrity, Collaboration, Humor and Well Being, Innovation, Quality, and Sustainability.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership from a recruitment, retention and cost-effective perspective, regarding budgeting items, compensation, employee benefits and insurance.
Promote effective recruitment efforts to ensure a high quality and diverse workforce consistent with the JJC core values.
Work collaboratively with all employee groups to meet their development needs.
