The Field Services Technician with CDL will perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects. This position requires a Class A or B CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements to transport equipment and waste to and from the job site.
Key responsibilities, deliverables and expectations:
Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.
Transport equipment and waste via a commercial vehicle while following all DOT and company policies and regulations. Ensure placarding of vehicles to meet DOT regulations.
Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
Working in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment. Working at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
Completion of associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, Waste Manifests, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.
Must have Valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements with a clean driving record. Class A preferred.
Must have 2 years of commercial vehicle driving experience.
Must be able to work in all types of environments including exposure to wet and / or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, high noise level.
High School Dioloma or GED preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be a team player with good oral and written communication skills
Must have good planning, organizational skills and problem solving skills.
Must have basic computer skills
Ability to travel 30 % of time (overnight travel)
Ability to walk on elevated platforms or scaffolding
Ability to move / lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, twist or crawl for extended periods of time
Ability to use heavy, light and hand held equipment (forklift, track hoe, back hoe, skid steer, etc.)
Construction experience is a plus
CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
Commercial Driver's License (Cdl)
