This senior level consultant will be instrumental in helping to grow our Southern California Environmental Health Safety and Sustainability Consulting business. This exciting position has both business developmentand technical consulting responsibilities, so we are looking for a unique individual who has both senior level technical EHS expertise, loves to sell and is great at it; and wants to be generously rewarded with an exceptional compensation package for meeting goals.You must have prior consulting sales experience related to EHS&S and a great network in Southern California, in addition technical EHS consulting skill in areas such as IH, Safety or Ergonomics. This position could work out of Laguna Hills, Los Angeles or San Diego locations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing sales leadership, and making new and existing client sales
Meeting sales objectives, maintaining sales plans and updating sales forecast and pipeline
Generating leads, coordinating meetings and proposals, and conducting follow up to meet sales targets
Developing and maintaining our Customer Relationship Management system to track leads and measure sales performance
Proposal preparation, including estimating work scope and price, and presentation process and managing client relations to ensure complete satisfaction
Maintaining a high profile externally and through membership/ attendance in life science industry functions, continually increasing contact base
EHS&S project management and coordination of project teams including serving as a Client Steward (Account Manager) for key accounts
Seen as a leader within and outside BSI, as a result of your technical, industry and competitive knowledge
Providing senior level EHS support to a variety of life science/biotech customers
Development and implementation of written Environmental programs.
Performing Environmental audits.
Supporting technical environmental training.
Working knowledge in management systems.
Supporting sustainability projects.
Performing project management and internal customer management.
Mentoring other consultants in their specialty areas.
Providing quality review.
Mentoring other consultants in sales and technical specialty areas
Results driven and highly energetic

Strong interpersonal skills
Highly effective verbal and written communication plus senior level presentation and negotiation skills
Self-sufficient in current office applications (eg MS Office)
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in a science-related field is required. A MS in a science-related field or MBA is desirable.
7 years of related Environmental experience in IH, Safety, Ergonomics or other EHS specialty, including business development responsibility for a professional services firm
Highly organized and self motivated
Critical thinking ability
