CIVIL / LAND DEVELOPMENT PRACTICE
Through an integrated approach, Michael Baker guides clients through the entire life cycle of a project, from due diligence, initial site planning, and entitlement approvals to final engineering, construction management and surveying. Strong engineering combined with a commitment to achieving clients’ strategic goals, results in quality service and project delivery in a timely and cost effective manner. Our skilled professionals can assist with any task on a wide range of project types, including commercial and retail developments, industrial and office parks, educational and governmental facilities, housing developments, public and military infrastructure, and mining facilities. We understand that land development engineering for commercial, residential, and public uses requires a cost-effective, schedule-driven approach; we know that, to our clients, time is money.

DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager will be a Civil / Land Development lead project Manager for all aspects of planning, design and plan preparation for a variety of residential, commercial, office and mixed-use development projects. Responsibilities include civil design for street, sewer, water and storm drain improvement plans, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and rough and precise grading. Also responsible for business development proposal writing, client management, contract management and invoicing. 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coursework relevant to working in the civil / site development field
•8 years of relevant experience and Utah P.E. license.
•You’ll need to demonstrate an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving
designs.
•The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team is critical.

PREFERENCES
•Strong technical background in Land Development
•Proven track record of increasing levels of responsibility
•Experience supervising junior-level staff
•Experience interfacing with clients
•Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D and Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
•Experience in Microstation and Inroads is a plus
