The Director of Product – Subscriptions & Loyalty – will take ownership of business development and execution of our emerging health and wellness subscription product. They will provide thought leadership, strategic direction, market analysis, and program oversight to guide the development of capabilities that meet market needs and drive consumer engagement innovation within the healthcare space.
The Director of Product will apply consumer retail principals to develop a market leading health and wellness subscription & loyalty solution. They will partner across products, partners, technology, sales, and channels to frame the market, identify market opportunities, drive actionable decisions, and ensure successful execution of new product delivery in the marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop an end-to-end consumer health & wellness subscription and engagement strategy
- Support rewards and loyalty strategy, product development and partnerships
- Create a roadmap based on market and consumer needs
- Translate into a plan that can be executed and show both short-term and long-term success
- Drive business development and strategic partnerships across top consumer brands
- Develop economic rationale, business cases, and capital requirement estimates for product improvements or new product solutions to meet outside-in, innovative market needs, succinctly framing opportunities for executive leadership
- Assess gap of future state and existing capabilities against market needs (e.g., competitiveness, growth, etc.)
- Scope and manage strategic develop implementations plans, including business plan development, product conceptualization, and strategic planning
- Solve unique and complex problems requiring integrated solutions with broad impact on the business
- Analyze industry trends, customer needs, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance
- Develop presentations and articulate the story for internal and external audiences
- Ensure that solutions have measurable goals and objectives for use in evaluating their effectiveness

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of significant experience in product roles, business development, or equivalent, retail, consumer subscription product
- Experience developing market overviews, understanding competitive positioning, analyzing market trends, and understanding customer needs, including translation into product requirements and prioritization.
- Experience working with strategic partnerships
- Experience with delivering product in the marketplace
- Demonstrated ability to delivery in-market solutions within large complex organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail and subscription product development experience
- Rewards and loyalty product development experience
- Proven history of driving growth through innovative product roadmap design and execution
- Demonstrable ability to deliver results with large-scale, cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery
- Superior communication (written/verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills
- High energy, detail oriented and creative individual
- Ability to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing demands
- Demonstrated financial acuity and proven ability to work effectively with finance teams to secure funding in support of identified strategic goals and objectives
- Solid problem-solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $118,000 to $226,800. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
