Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has an opportunity in its Advanced Intelligence & Reconnaissance Systems (AIRS) Program Area for a Principal Specialist, Contracts. This position will be a part of and support AIRS' diverse, cutting-edge technology, and key growth portfolio which includes the Electro Optical Distributed Aperture System (EODAS), Advanced EOIR Systems (AES) and EO Innovations (EOI) product lines. Additionally, the role will work closely with the EODAS contracts lead in development of proposals, as well as management and administration of contracts, with the primary customers being Lockheed Martine Aero.
The position will be well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
What you will do:
+ Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), conducting contract negotiations and providing general contract administration
+ Interface with customers on contracting matters and ensure that proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies
+ Advise program management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks
+ Develop creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills
+ Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies
+ Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop business relationships
+ Act as a lead for the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, as well as general contract administration
+ Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
+ Identify, mitigate, and drive the resolution of contractual issues as they may arise
+ Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals, examine and understand cost structure estimates of labor, material, engineering services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
+ Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
+ Minimal travel may be required
Skills and Requirements:
+ Experience with negotiation and administration of contracts and/or subcontracts
+ Experience with US Government contract types FFP, CPFF, T&M
+ Demonstrated experience administering contracts under Federal Acquisition Regulations & Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS)
Required Education:
Typically requires University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
