Sr Key Account Manager

Description

This Key Account Manager will own and manage key account programs, working as part of the global key account management efforts to protect and grow business partnerships with the key accounts.

  1. Achieve budget through existing business from key accounts and new opportunities created within those accounts.

  2. Build or maintain global standard KAM team performance.

  3. Account program effectiveness and business expansion.

  4. Long term partnership with the key accounts

  5. Relationship with accounts' executive level

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  1. Lead KAM team to achieve top industry performance

    1. Manage and coach team members for performance and budget

    2. Engage in key accounts, create or maintain account strategies, engage internal stakeholders and oversees program expansion.

    3. Support team for customer proposal and solutions design to facilitate account growth efforts.

  2. Develop key accounts' programs with partnership & continual new business growth

    1. Lead global sales efforts to develop and execute account strategies to grow new business from the existing accounts. Ensure account strategies updated and conveyed to stakeholders.

    2. Drive respective functional teams to develop proposals, response to RFP/RFQ/RFI, ensure value proposition effectively elaborated.

    3. Conduct regular business reviews (MBR/QBR/YBR) with key accounts, review service and KPI performance, supply chain effectiveness, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and propose solutions.

    4. Timely address service issues and new requirements.

  3. Engage in vertical business development to pursue new business from new customer

    1. Be part of vertical sales efforts to identify new prospects and develop new business in the region.

    2. Respond and follow up global Sales leads. Provide timely response with adequate information to enable counterpart sales make progress on the opportunities.

    3. Drive storyboard communications, lead executive visitor meetings, deliver powerful presentations and continue to engage prospect with top management and relevant stakeholders' supports.

  4. Build and maintain strong business relationship with existing & new accounts

    1. Maintain regular contact with key accounts. Obtain updates and insights of account's business status and direction.

    2. Coordinate and support customer events and customer entertainment activities, including facilities and port visits, dinner and customer invitation to Company or industry events.

  5. Develop Key Account team capabilities

    1. Regular review of key account program effectiveness with team members. Conduct joint customer meetings and sales calls with the key account manager.

    2. Continue to train and coach team members to improve expertise skills in managing key accounts, stay competent in product knowledge and professional in presenting and communicating with customers

    3. Help account manager achieve business targets.


Qualifications
  • University Degree holder or equivalent qualification

    Experience

  • Min 8 years' working experience in the international logistics with track record in international sales & account management. Candidate with exposure in the retail industry will be an advantage.

  • Min 5 years' experience in leading commercial team
