Job Description

Responsible for management of all pump repair and manufacturing activities. This is incudes material handling, machining, fabrication, unit assembly, performance and in-process testing, painting systems and final packaging operations. Responsibilities also include shop floor scheduling to support promise dates of low volume high specification complete units, aftermarket parts and repairs/upgrades. Managing of resources to optimize plant utilization, inventory control and commitment to on-time delivery are integral elements of the position. Executing all aspects of the role with a focus on department, equipment and worker safety is essential.

  • Leading and managing all activities related to tear down & inspect, machining, welding, precision assembly, testing and packaging operations.
  • Responsible for identifying and improving metrics for KPIs that impact quality, delivery, cost, profitability and safety.
  • Lead cultural and organizational change; implement operational excellence

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience API Horizontal and Vertical pump repairs, fabrication, machining and testing.
  • Experience in conventional and CNC machining of castings, forgings, plate and bar, precision assembly, NDT, welding, pressure testing, factory testing
  • Prior experience making positive changes in manufacturing processes and work culture.
  • Must have excellent leadership, management, communication and customer and vendor interface skills.
