The current Director is retiring after 20 years with the Company and will be available to assist with training and transition
Reporting to the VP of Finance/CFO, the Director of Accounting will have 3 direct reports to manage and mentor and will be responsible for supervising, controlling, and communicating the fiscal operations of the facility.
Overview of the Director of Accounting role:
Provide oversight and management of general ledger, fixed assets, billing, A/P, and payroll
Perform month end closing duties and financial reporting
Submit compliance reporting and regulatory filings
Cash management and cash flow projections
Manage banking relationships
Act as liaison for various internal and external parties, such as auditors, trustees, outside consultants, etc
Update accounting policies and procedures as needed
Various ad hoc tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications for the Director of Accounting:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years related experience
Strong knowledge of budgetary, accounting, and reporting systems
Able to plan, delegate, and supervise junior personnel
