Software Training & Implementation Specialist - Telecommute

In this job, you will be responsible for providing training to external customers on highly complex software products as well as identifying client-specific business use cases to drive product adoption.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produce effective training for external customers and internal technical and business staff on software products that analyze and provide reporting using different types of healthcare data
  • Develop new training materials, curricula, and processes
  • Translate highly technical content into effective training, including best modality for delivery such as job aids, instructor led training, eLearning modules, etc. Assist internal teams to ensure delivery of services is well communicated and accessible
  • Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business partners to design and implement effective training programs
  • Design/recommend effective feedback processes to ensure continuous quality improvement
  • Revise/update training content/approach as needed for new product releases or customer specific needs
  • Work with multidisciplinary team on content management of training materials
  • Continually improve knowledge of analytics and data concepts related to assigned products
  • Adapt training style/tone to meet the needs of specific content/audience/delivery method

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Health Informatics, Statistics, Nursing, Epidemiology, Public Health, or other related fields desired), or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of experience in training design and delivery
  • Solid problem solving, oral presentation, technical writing, planning management skills
  • Ability to present complex concepts in an engaging and effective manner
  • Ability to maintain and update knowledge of product and content
  • Advanced skills with SCORM compliant presentation tools such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia or Captivate         
  • Ability to effectively train others
  • Ability and flexibility to travel
  • Solid commitment to providing superior customer service


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Cognos, MicroStrategy, or Tableau
  • Experience training or working with data analytics or data mining software tools
  • Familiarity with healthcare administrative claims type data (e.g. lab, pharmacy, medical, provider, member)

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
