Memorial Medical Center
Ensures the Clinic meets all legal and accreditation/certification requirements. In addition, the Office Manager ensures the Clinic complies with all applicable mission statements, policies, procedures, codes and standards of Memorial Medical Center.
Develops and implements practice goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates practice operations, including customer service, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates practice budgets, and ensures that the practice operates in compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Submits requested reports to Physician Services administration in a timely manner. Maintains records and statistical data for preparing periodic reports.
Prepares monthly financial reports.
Supervises and monitors Performance Improvement and Evaluation programs. Recommends
Coordinates activities of the Clinic with other hospital departments. Cooperates with other departments and maintains good intra and inter-departmental relationships.
Completes assignments and projects accurately and meets deadlines.
Organizes staff meetings regularly with prepared agendas. Encourages sharing of ideas amongst the team.
Is conscientious of the needs of the providers in the Clinic and staff. Ability to step in and assist with front desk, patient flow and other tasks as needed.
Adheres to work schedule and communicates to supervisor times when not in the office during those scheduled hours.
Monitors clinic environment on a daily basis. Is aware of issues arising in the Clinic and communicates issues as needed.
Ability to learn and navigate Electronic Medical Record to access and review medical records and conducts audits as requested.
Participates in professional growth and development by attending specialty related conferences, seeking higher education advancement and participating in processional organization.
Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in Healthcare or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience: Five years of Medical office or Health Information Management Department experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Types 40 words per minute without errors. Proficient with use of numerical and alphabetical filing systems. Bilingual; fluent English/Spanish speaking preferred.
