Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a Legal Counsel – Generalist to assist with all aspects of the legal team. This is a temporary position, with the potential to convert to permanent employment, near Miami, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Reviewing and commenting on RFPs and concession agreements.
• Supporting domestic and international businesses.
• Provide legal support on a variety of legal, governance and strategic issues (all day to day matters).
• Assist with managing the division’s legal spend-track outside counsel.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of experience either working in a well-recognized law firm, in-house legal department of a company with international operations, or a combination of both.
• Foreign working experience and/or international experience and excellent knowledge with civil law jurisdictions is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and drafting skills.
• Positive attitude and the skills to work across business functions and cultures with teams located in multiple time zones, as well as the ability to act independently in a fast-paced and highly-rewarding environment are required.
• Experience in business integrations and teams restructurings is a plus.
• Must be Bilingual.
