Our client, based in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. As a Customer Service Representative, you are more than an employee. You are a key driver in fulfilling the mission of one of the top research institutions in the world. Join a team of highly-trained interviewers as you work to improve the human condition in over 40 countries. The Customer Service Representative will draw from strong customer service experience to collect critical research data from survey participants. Your work will touch on important societal issues and provide data that informs policy programs while contributing to the body of survey science research. This is an ideal role for those looking to gain experience in research and data collection while also maintaining a stable schedule. Part time positions require a minimum of 14 hours per week Monday through Friday.
Collect information from survey participant over the telephone for a variety of projects
Communicate the goals of the survey to participants and explain why their participation is valuable
Engage and respond to participants by following a scripted questionnaire to collect research data
Record data accurately into a computer system while speaking with participants
Encourage participation from those who have previously chosen not to participate
Attend all mandatory training sessions related to survey data collection
Maintain quality standards for data collection
HS Diploma or GED required post-secondary education preferred
Proven work history in customer service or call center environment
Effective telephone interviewing etiquette, inflection, and communication skills
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and coworkers
Perform data entry tasks while speaking on the phone
Type at least 25 words per minute, with 95% accuracy
Part time, Night/Weekend Hours: flexible schedule between the hours of 6 pm - 9 pm Monday through Friday. Minimum of 12-15 hours per week. May works Sundays for additional hours.
