Job Summary:

The Process Engineer reports to the Bowling Green Engineering Manager. In this role, you will be support process improvements as well as oversee small capital projects throughout the Bowling Green facility. The Process Engineer will support production improvements and develop capital requests to meet the changing needs of the business.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Identifies opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
* Optimizes manufacturing processes using statistical analyses, design of experiment, and six sigma methodologies.
* Develops engineering solutions to process failures and other quality problems that adversely affect customer service, such as throughput, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.
* Partners with Production to perform analyses of systems including:
* Throughput optimization
* Reduction of cycle times for blending operations and sulfation systems
* Reduction in heating/cooling times for batch operations
* Reduction in residual levels of 1,4-dioxane in batch and continuous sulfation processes

* Works with engineering manager, providing input to the plant capital program.
* Assists in developing the annual capital plan
* Oversees smaller capital projects

* Assists with external, internal, plant-wide and departmental Environmental Health, Safety & Security audits.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Assists with PHAs as needed

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Requirements:

* Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering
* Knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing processes
* Experience in an industrial production environment
* Application of statistical techniques and software for data analysis and interpretation
* 0-3 years' experience required

Considered a Plus:

* Experience managing capital projects
