We have continued our extensive growth in the USA, which has resulted in the opportunity for a Senior Natural Resources Manager with experience in Project Management and Business Development along the Gulf Coast, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in public and private sectors. Ideally this experience should include a thorough understanding of Section 404/401 of the Clean Water Act (CWA), Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filings. Specific to the Gulf Coast, experience with Coastal Zone Management Act and United States Corps of Engineers’ Galveston, New Orleans, Mobile, and Jacksonville Districts is preferred. The Senior Natural Resources Manager will be experienced in conducting/writing/providing QA/QC of wetlands and waters delineations and reports, Habitat Conservation Plans, Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), and various applicable federal, state, and local permits.

The applicant is commercially astute and comfortable dealing at all levels within a client organization. We are also seeking someone who can drive growth by identifying opportunities and delivering projects for current and future clients.  This is a unique opportunity for a subject matter expert to leverage knowledge and experience and further engage in challenging projects.



As a Senior Natural Resources Manager, the position will consist of business development, client support, and managing individual projects and staff.  The successful candidate will have strong leadership, business development, project management, and technical skills.  We are seeking a self-motivated and active net-worker who values building credible relationships with clients and the community.

Working within one of our experienced multi-disciplinary teams, you will
  • Help lead projects and business development from the Baton Rouge, Louisiana office or Houston, Texas.
  • Provide site development relating to natural resource assessments, mitigation plans, wetlands delineation, and associated permitting
  • Assist with project scoping and preparing proposals
  • Provide support with marketing and business development
  • Manage multiple projects at same time 
What you will bring to the team
  • Knowledge and expertise in the following:
  • Clean Water Act (CWA)
  • Wetlands and waters delineations and reports
  • Permit applications to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
  • National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
  • Endangered Species Act (ESA)
  • Migratory Bird Treaty Act
  • Project sitting
  • Desktop surveys
  • Wildlife Management Planning/Habitat Conservation Plans
  • Environmental Assessments (EA)
  • Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)
  • Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filings
 Additional experience the ideal candidate may have include:
  • Business development of new clients
  • Established professional network
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide training and mentorship
  • Working with multiple team members
  • Develop unique client and project strategies
  • Assist with growth of group and recruiting additional staff
  • Understand scope/schedule/budget on large projects
  • Demonstrate proven leadership ability  
 The ideal candidate will have: 
  • Degree in Biological Sciences, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences Approximately  10+ years of experience 
  • Previous experience in agency coordination and regulatory compliance and technical writing/reviewing for natural resource permitting
  • Communication skills to interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and staff
  • Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Earth, GIS, and other software
  • Comfortable with conducting field surveys
  • Periodic travel out of town, including overnight stays, as needed
  • Desire to work in a team oriented environment
  • Desire to assist with growing a newly established service line 
  • Approximately  10+ years of experience 
  • Previous experience in agency coordination and regulatory compliance and technical writing/reviewing for natural resource permitting
  • Communication skills to interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and staff
  • Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Earth, GIS, and other software
  • Comfortable with conducting field surveys
  • Periodic travel out of town, including overnight stays, as needed
