Masco's legal team is looking for an experienced corporate paralegal to support our headquarters team, our business units and our Legal Department attorneys. This position will be under the Masco Headquarters hybrid working arrangement model.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Masco’s Board of Directors by preparing corporate board agendas, minutes and resolutions and other board communications; and assisting in planning for board and committee meetings
Organize and manage Masco’s annual meeting of shareholders, including preparing documents and working with third party service providers
Prepare and file Section 16 reports for directors and executive officers
Manage domestic and foreign corporate subsidiaries, including preparing corporate formation documents, resolutions, certificates and other documents; assisting with corporate acquisitions, restructurings, divestitures and dissolutions; and overseeing the maintenance of our subsidiary database
Support our internal clients by investigating facts, identifying and researching legal issues, and providing guidance and training, as appropriate.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of five years of relevant corporate paralegal experience at an in-house law department and/or law firm
Solid organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment while managing numerous projects simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal clients, other legal department members and external service providers, including outside counsel
Sound judgment and professionalism with keen focus on providing outstanding customer service and business partnering
Problem-solving skills with solutions-orientation mindset; ability to develop or improve work processes
Experience working with electronic legal management systems, including a subsidiary management system (hCue a plus), a document management system, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams)
