The Senior Business Risk Analyst will be responsible for executing duties by working closely with the business (e.g., front office, products & services), business support units (e.g., Legal, Compliance), Group Risk Management (GRM), and other local and Enterprise business and risk groups as needed.What will you do?Coordinate WM-U.S. risk governance committees, including Product Risk Review Committee, DOL Self-Correction and Annual Retrospective Review Oversight Committee, and Conflicts of Interest Committee. Assist committee chairs with calendars, agendas, and minutes; assist business partners and presenters with presentations, risk assessments, and other meeting materials; and perform other duties with respect to committee business.Drive continued development of WM-U.S. control management program in accordance with Enterprise Internal Control Management Policy (ICMP) requirements, including maintaining firm's control inventory by identifying and documenting new controls and updating existing controls and control language, as well as performing design effectiveness and operating effectiveness assessments for key controls as needed.Partner closely with business partners and Compliance to execute the firm's Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program to help mitigate WM-U.S. regulatory compliance risk. Support business and Compliance with respect to annual RCM risk assessment process; support business partners with respect to open regulatory compliance issues and action plans.Drive continued development of WM-U.S. policy exception management program in accordance with firm policy, including managing policy exception requests, maintaining policy exception information, performing policy exception reporting, reviewing certain policy exceptions and policy exception requests, and helping to develop and launch firm policy exception review process.Perform ad hoc duties and initiatives related to other areas of business risk, including policy management and disclosures management.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveBachelor's degree, or equivalent experience5-7 years of experience in operational risk, compliance, or legal within wealth management, financial services, or comparable businessDemonstrated high proficiency in organizational skills, including the ability to build consensus, influence, and drive coordination, communication, negotiation, and projects across businesses and platforms to achieve expected resultsStrong problem solving and analytical capabilitiesExcellent oral, written, and presentation communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and diplomatic approach to encourage action and obtain information effectivelyAction oriented and takes initiative properlyDemonstrated ability to be effective in new, ambiguous, unfamiliar situations with limited directionHighly organized, flexible and excel at prioritizing and meeting deadlinesStrong Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)Strong team orientation with focus on team successNice-to-haveSeries 7 and 66 exams or willingness to obtainJD, MBA or other advanced degreeThorough knowledge of wealth management products and services, processes, and organizationWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
