Job Description:

Position Summary:

Performs maintenance at designated facility

Minimum Qualifications:

High School/GED Diploma or 1 year equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall installation and finishing, painting, vinyl and ceramic tile experience preferred.

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Ability to use general maintenance machinery (i.e. hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices).

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

1. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance, and work orders received in Maintenance Department.

2.Performs maintenance as directed by supervisor.

3.Coordinates working safely in an environment of staff, patients and visitors. 4,Good listening, organization, and communication skills.

5.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete assigned tasks; employee must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.

6.Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.

7.Basic level computer skills using Windows Outlook web access.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lifts, etc., as well as stand, reach, stoop, crouch, sit, kneel, climb, crawl and walk extensively across multiple areas of campus. Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. May be required to work in 24 hour rotating shifts during natural and manmade disasters or other facility emergencies.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:

Monday through Friday - 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 7:30 - 4:00. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and evening hours if need arises. Maintenance ON-CALL is rotated between all maintenance staff, Monday-Sunday, 7 days per rotation.
