Summa Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking Part Time DAY shift Rehab Nurse Techs to join our team!
Part-Time – day shift; 6:00-6:30, 24 hr/wk, every other weekend required, holiday rotation
PRN: 6a-6:30p or 6p to 6:30a; PRN staff in the nursing department are required to work a minimum of 24 hours (two 12 hr shifts) per 4 week schedule, to include one weekend; also required to be available for one hospital-observed holiday per year.
The Nurse Tech is responsible for assisting patients with personal hygiene and the activities of daily living. Provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living; and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake skills. Recognizes emergency situations and responds.
- Current BLS, Heart Saver or CPR certification from a Summa Rehab Hospital-approved vendor prior to the completion of the introductory period required.
Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant/Nursing Aide in the state of employment preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Multi-Skilled Technician (MST), Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification or currently enrolled in a Nursing program with at least one clinical rotation preferred.
Acute care/LTAC experience preferred.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
