An established pediatric acute care hospital located in the Greater Philadelphia region is currently searching for an experienced Pediatric Perfusionist to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This full-service acute care children’s hospital was founded over one hundred years ago and has since grown into a state-of-the-art 200-bed pediatric hospital. The Pediatric Perfusionist will join a healthcare system that combined award-winning pediatric care with a number of pediatric specialties including Cardiology, ENT, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. This esteemed children’s hospital is home to a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center as well as a Pediatric Burn Center. This acute care children’s hospital is a proud partner of a much larger and well-known regional health system.

The Pediatric Perfusionist will work within a healthcare system that combines multiple acute care hospitals in the area. This health system has received National recognition for advanced care in regards to neurosurgery and stroke care, cardiac and vascular surgery, trauma, hematology and oncology. The Pediatric Perfusionist will prepare for clinical procedures and will be expected to safely and efficiently operate perfusionist equipment while monitoring patient physiology. The Pediatric Perfusionist will be expected to participate in research through internal and external collaborations, data collection and analysis, as well as evaluation. The Pediatric Perfusionist will also play a key role in the maintenance of quality assurance standards and will promote safety and protection of the patients at all times.

The Pediatric Perfusionist will be a graduate of an approved Perfusionist program and will have at least 3 years of prior pediatric perfusionist experience. The Pediatric Perfusionist should have prior experience working in a cardiovascular perfusion pediatric setting. The Pediatric Perfusionist will have adequate knowledge of up-to-date pediatric perfusion policies and procedures and will be expected to complete select continued medical education.
