Professor in Physics – Stonehill College
The applicant should have a very strong interest in teaching, a record of published research, and a clear ongoing program of research. Typically, the teaching load in our department is 9-11 teaching credits per semester; lecture-only courses count for 3 credits and courses which include a lab component count for 5 credits. The applicant will also be committed to involving students in some of their research and helping them apply to good internships, including our own S.U.R.E. Program. We have an astronomical observatory and the basic infrastructure needed to build a solar observatory. The applicant will contribute to the use and further development of these facilities.
