Our client in Cleveland is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience

Assist with designing mechanical components and machinery for the Conveyor Industry utilizing AUTODESK INVENTOR PRO.
Primary Mechanical Engineer Job Duties:

  • Create parts and machinery components in 3-D utilizing AUTODESK INVENTOR PRO.

  • Convert existing AUTOCAD 2-D drawings into INVENTOR PRO 3-D format.

  • Create a company specific parts library of 3-D parts and components utilizing new drawings and existing reference libraries.

  • Utilize company parts and components library along with component drawings to create Bill of Materials in an EXCEL format for issue to Fabrication and Purchasing Departments.

Secondary Mechanical Engineer Job Duties:

  • Assist Engineering Manager with inspection of machined components using digital calipers, measuring tapes and other inspection equipment to ensure quality of manufacture.

  • Accompany Engineering Manager and/or Sales Engineer with Field visitations to customers to take measurements and discuss layouts of new conveyor equipment.

  • Accompany Engineering Manager and/or Sales Engineer with Field visitations to customers to asses customer issues in conveyor equipment applications.

  • Assist Engineering Manager with ISO 9001:With Design, Quality Assurance Program forms, audits and inspections.

Mechanical Engineer Skills and Qualifications:
Primary skills:

  • Proficient in AUTODESK INVENTOR PRO.

  • Proficient in EXCEL Spreadsheets

  • Ability to work unsupervised on simple assigned tasks

Secondary skills:

  • Ability to use digital calipers and measuring tapes

  • Ability to read Blueprints of Components and Assemblies
