We are currently seeking a Vice President, Real Estate Portfolio Optimization Consultant to join JLL Consulting.  JLL Consulting helps clients define, implement and achieve enterprise ambitions.  Our consultants work with clients to create future-focused, agile strategies to help organizations thrive in today’s world of constant transformation, disruption and uncertainty. What this job involves:

As a Vice President, Real Estate Portfolio Optimization you’ll lead and deliver fast sprints to large, complex, transformative client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative solutions for large companies, helping them restructure their real estate portfolio and workplace strategies. Your responsibilities will include: providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. You will be expected to implement and oversee the quality of deliverables, effectively manage the functional and technical team, support functional tracks of the transformation and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. You’ll participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your areas of expertise and be in a position to address all aspects of Corporate Real Estate and solve client’s biggest business issues. You will develop the client experiences and commercial aptitude necessary to be a successful Senior Vice President and Managing Director in Consulting.

Responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to lead your own engagements or components of large, complex engagements with the following focus:

  • Analyze corporate clients’ real estate portfolios and develop strategies and plans to achieve long-term operational and financial goals. 
  • Perform complex corporate real estate financial analysis, develop sophisticated tools and creative approaches that will allow our client’s to optimize their real estate portfolios. 
  • Proactively manage execution of client engagements to ensure excellence, consistency and profitability. 
  • Support Consulting knowledge management by assisting in the development of project process, tools, and client deliverables that will be included in best practices.
  • Pursue new business opportunities and identify areas for growth in conjunction with the Consulting leadership team and personnel.
  • Actively participate in industry forums, conferences, and membership in key civic organizations.  
  • Assist in efforts to leverage insights, collaboration and delivery to ensure that we are the industry leader in product innovation.
  • Lead and support in the management and development of the Consulting team with the overall goal of improving performance.

  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions.
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or services objectives; work is guided by unit policies.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.

Required Skills:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in portfolio analytic principles, methodologies and tools
  • Experience influencing and relationship management at the senior executive level
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to develop conclusions and recommendations
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently in a high-pressure deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex matters daily
  • Capacity to deal with ambiguity as well as address and solve complex problems
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Expert at Excel and Power point
  • 50-70% travel required for this role

Desired Skills:
 

  • Experience in presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience with large-scale portfolio strategies
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
