Arconic AES NilesMelt and Mill Operations is seeking acompensation analyst with high energy and drive. This position is accountable forcoordinating a broad range of incentive programs, industrial engineering, andfinancial analysis activities. This position will report to the Controller andbe based in Niles, OH. We encourage qualified candidates that are interested ina high visibility role within a flagship location to apply.

EssentialFunctions

    • Calculating weekly payroll incentives for a largeskilled workforce

    • Review earnings reports for accurate payment ofbase earnings, overtime, incentives and holiday pay

    • Annual updates of vacation rates, accruals andwage increases 

    • Performing job function analysis to ensure jobfunctions align to compensation profile

    • Develop understanding and expertise of CollectiveBargaining Agreement

    • Providing general accounting support ensuringthat appropriate internal controls are in place, Corporate Policies arefollowed, account reconciliations are completed, and aged items are monitoreduntil resolution.

    • Supporting the monthly closing process
    • Collaborate across functions to driveprofitability through process improvement and operations support

    • Performing other duties as assigned.
      Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Manufacturing Experience – this position is in aheavy manufacturing facility and the knowledge of and interest in manufacturingoperations will be integral to success in this role.

    • Technology Skills — Accounting and Financesoftware: Hyperion, SAP; Spreadsheet software: Advanced Microsoft ExcelAbility; Office Suite software: Microsoft Office i.e. Microsoft Access and VisualBasic desirable

    • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning toidentify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions orapproaches to problems.

    • Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance ofyourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or takecorrective action.

    • Time Management — Managing one's own time and thetime of others.

    • Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell whensomething is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

    • Dependability — Job requires being reliable,responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.

    • Integrity — Job requires being honest andethical.

    • Stress Tolerance — Job requires acceptingcriticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.

    • Systems Evaluation — Identifying measures orindicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correctperformance, relative to the goals of the system.

    • Disciplined Execution — Job requires partneringwith the Operations team through daily execution of the financial plan. Whenrequired, he/she will need to be able to dive into details to ensure financialsuccess.

Qualifications

Qualifications

BasicQualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting orIndustrial Engineering from an accredited institution, or relativeexperience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experiencein Accounting, Compensation, or Industrial Engineering 

  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturingenvironment

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work inthe United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required atthe time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the InternationalTraffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITARdefines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘GreenCard Holder’) Political Asylee, or Refugee.  

PreferredQualifications:

  • 3 years' experience in Compensation, Industrial,Payroll in a manufacturing environment

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), CMAor CPA

  • Experience with Hyperion & Oracle
