We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for various tasks including project management, performing structural analysis, site surveying, and more.

We are seeking an Expeditor or Filing Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our projects in NY. This role involves handling zoning applications, liaising with NYC DOB, DOT, FDNY, and DEP, and maintaining a thorough understanding of NYC building codes and zoning regulations. Proficiency in DOB NOW portal will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and submit zoning applications and permits in accordance with NYC building codes and zoning regulations.
2. Act as a liaison between the company and NYC DOB, DOT, FDNY, and DEP to expedite the approval process.
3. Review and maintain records of all project documentation, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Coordinate with project teams to ensure that all applications and permits are accurately completed and submitted on time.
5. Monitor the progress of applications and permits, promptly addressing any issues or delays.
6. Stay updated with changes in zoning laws, building codes, and regulations, and communicate these changes to the team.
7. Utilize the DOB NOW portal for filing, tracking, and managing applications.
8. Provide regular updates and reports on the status of applications and permits to the project management team.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of NYC building codes and zoning regulations.
3. Proven experience with zoning applications and liaising with NYC DOB, DOT, FDNY, and DEP.
4. Proficiency in the DOB NOW portal is a plus.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
7. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
10. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
