Kforce's client, a growing nationwide company in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Information Technology Security Manager. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager. Duties:
  • Develop security strategies, roadmaps and policies and processed in conjunction with VP, IT and CIO for organization IT security
  • Implement control systems solutions including, but not limited to, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Anti-Exploitation, Next Generation Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Access Control (NAC), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Malware Analysis, and Application Whitelisting
  • Investigates security events (e.g., unauthorized access, non-compliance with company policies, fraud, service exploitation, etc.) to determine malfunctions, breaches, and remediation steps; Provide ongoing activity reports
  • Establish guidelines for monitoring and controlling all access to data and network devices
  • Provide security admin oversight on virus, OS (Server/Network) and application patching with testing of security configurations and changes
  • Conduct regular reviews of IT Security controls and policies following a standards based methodology
  • Recommend IT Security solutions based on industry advancements and organization needs
  • Recommend, coordinate, and conduct risk assessment activities including, security audits, attack and penetration test, network security assessments and vulnerability scans; Develop a mitigation approach to mitigate identified risks and provide periodic reporting
  • Work with IT Ops, Development, and other business units as a subject matter expert/advisory role to ensure security is designed in and considered throughout the system and product lifecycle


  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years progressive work experience in information technology security roles and relevant certifications will be considered in lieu of formal education
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security engineering/architecture
  • 2+ years of IT security leadership
Demonstrated professional skills or security certifications such as:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experienced with Palo Alto and PNCSE or similar
  • Experience in the use of security principles; risk assessment policies and standards; Information security best practices, products and technologies; And network technologies
  • Strong understanding of MITRE framework for cyber-attack methods and tools
  • Must have extensive, detailed knowledge and hands-on experience with Internet protocols, IPS, firewalls, packet capture and analysis, SSH, TLS/SSL, web servers, application servers, database security, patch management, vulnerability assessment tools
  • Experience with endpoint security software and encryption products
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
  • Experience designing, implementing and operating log management and SIEM reporting tools and reporting/analysis development
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards
