Job Requirements

TELESIS is searching for a Security Vulnerability Software Distribution Administrator .

REQUIREMENTS
Seeking a candidate who will be responsible for managing vulnerability compliance of endpoints for our customer. This includes administration support utilizing LANDesk and Casper. The candidate is responsible for the overall management of approximately 1,100 PCs by deploying patches, updates, and application packages. The Endpoint Administrator is responsible for developing and maintaining processes and procedures for test methodologies and for creating technical documentation for technical support team. Candidate will maintain the test environment which includes test desktops/laptops, test plans, virtual test images, and documentation. Candidate will also be responsible for developing documentation that includes conceptual descriptions, task-based procedures, configurations, installations, and reference information.

Functions commonly performed:
  • Responsible for release package design, build, and configuration
  • Perform release package testing to predefined acceptance criteria
  • Perform distribution and the installation of packaged software
  • Manage monthly patching process
  • Generate daily, weekly and monthly compliance reports
  • Work with the Gallery’s Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to establish paths to remedy identified vulnerabilities
  • Perform administration of LANDesk and Casper servers
  • Troubleshoot failed patching attempts on both Windows and Mac’s
  • Identify, research, and resolve simple to moderately complex technical support issues independently
Knowledge/skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • LANDesk and Casper Suite experience preferred; experience with other deployment tools such as SCCM, Dell Case Tool, Big Fix etc. is acceptable
  • Experience in security patching and software packaging is required
  • Experience conducting security scans and vulnerability remediations and management is required
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus.
  • Ability to work with Project Managers and Government Clients to provide solution engineering
  • Ability to document and log work
  • Knowledge in Microsoft and OSX business applications
  • Proficient knowledge in Windows OS and Mac OSX for computers and servers
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify, research, and resolve simple to moderately complex technical support issues independently


Experience:
4 - 5 Years Relevant experience



Education and Certification:
A+, LANDesk, and Casper certifications desired
Shift information:
7:30am - 5:30pm Monday – Friday
