The Opportunity
As the Knowledge Management (Senior) Director you will lead the global knowledge management function at Abt, deploying solutions to improve organizational knowledge sharing and awareness. The knowledge management programs at Abt include management of key repositories of Abt's proposal and project information, publications, boilerplate management, research library, technical training resources, and management of Abt's solutions offerings. To be successful you will create strategies around document management, data warehousing, and information dissemination. You will develop an overall strategy, architecture, and methodology for modernizing Abt's knowledge management programs. Ultimately, you will ensure Abt staff across the globe have easy access to critical information to deliver solutions to clients and communities.
Core Responsibilities
* Develop and implement enterprise knowledge management strategy, with key performance indicators, tied to Abt's corporate strategy
* Build, manage, and support knowledge management team to drive the outcomes of the knowledge management strategies
* Management and development of Abt's knowledge platform (KnowledgeHub)
* Management of Abt's data assets (including past proposal details; past and present project details, deliverables, descriptions, results, and impact; and Abt generated publications)
* Management of Abt's taxonomies and corresponding internal partners metadara rules for ingestion and searching
* Lead change management initiatives related to the knowledge management strategies
* Identify, recommend, and lead the build-out of relevant knowledge management systems
* Lead data stewardship and provide consultation for data assets
* Development cross functional partnerships with the Capabilities Organization, US Domestic Division, Global Development Group, IT and HR partners.
* Manage vendor partnerships as needed
What we Value
* Bachelors + 15 years of experience, or Master's + 12 years of experience
* 8+ years of experience working in a professional knowledge management environment
* Experience developing and maintaining SharePoint site collections
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and KM fundamentals and tools
* Proven track record of leading a knowledge management function
* Strong knowledge management best practice implementation experience
* Demonstrated experience working in a professional services organization
* Understanding of innovative tools and technologies, like AI, that can be used in knowledge management
