OSP Construction Manager

Must be located near Ft. Bragg, CA
Our client has an immediate need for an OSP Construction Manager. As the OSP Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, project managing, and supervising the construction activities of fiber optic cables, conduits, poles, splice cases, and other telecom related equipment. You will also ensure that the projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Candidates should have a strong background in fiber optic network design and construction, as well as excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The OSP Construction Manager should also be familiar with all relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities

Manage the overall planning, execution, and completion of OSP fiber optic network construction projects.
Develop and build relationships with cities, counties, HOA's and local utilities.
Lead the construction staff by setting clear expectations and holding employees accountable in a consistent and fair manner.
Recruit, hire and train construction inspectors and coordinators.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, budget, and specifications.
Monitor and control the project progress, quality, and costs, and take corrective actions as needed.
Handle employee relation issues, including performance management, coaching, and training.
Ensure that the construction activities comply with the company policies, customer requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Supervise and mentor the OSP construction staff and contractors and provide them with technical guidance and support.
Conduct site visits, inspections, audits, and tests to verify the quality and safety of the work performed.
Monitor and maintain the payroll process including approving timecards.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, records, and invoices.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, methods, and best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the OSP construction operations.

Required:

5 pls years as an OSP Project Manager in fiber optic construction
Knowledge of fiber optic networking testing equipment and procedures
Familiar with OSP construction standards, code, regulations and safety practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Reliable transportation and able to travel to project sites in the area

Pay Range: $50-$56/hr
