Position Overview:
The Software Systems Engineer is an integral member of a team providing support to ensure requirements are met for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) software. The selected candidate will develop system level concepts, maintain acceptance criteria, and propose solutions to complex problems, with the goal of ensuring the software meets the needs of the intended users.
Required Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in STEM
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience preferably in support of the Department of Defense
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, real-time software, or distributed software
- Must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles and requirements decomposition
- A self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment engaging various levels of stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Background in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), Cameo/MagicDraw, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience with systems engineering in an Agile methodology highly desired. SAFe© Agile experience a plus.
