The Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant is a member of the Orthopedic Service team that includes attending physicians, residents, and fellows providing services to patients/ families and nursing staff. The Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively with appropriate privileges, including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patient’s medical and psychosocial status.
The Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant will perform daily rounds on all orthopedic patients to monitor care, systems and process issues while recommending and evaluating processes to improve systems and patient care across the continuum of care. The Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant will collaborate with nursing staff in assessing the patient/family nursing needs/assist in developing plan of care for the patients.
