Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Design

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC Design to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that meet client specifications and comply with industry standards. This role involves collaborating with project teams to develop efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop HVAC system designs using Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other team members to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
  • Conduct load calculations and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and project reports.
  • Ensure all designs comply with state building codes, energy codes, and NFPA codes.
  • Lead project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on design deliverables.
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers and design staff in best practices and technical skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Experience
  • PE Certification Preferred
  • Proven experience in HVAC system design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards including state building codes, energy codes, and NFPA codes.
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
