Technical Writer - Secret Clearance with Security Clearance

We are looking for a Technical Writer with a Secret clearance or higher to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Team! *This job posting is for upcoming opportunities with AMERICAN SYSTEMS* As a Technical Writer, you will:
• Analyze and prepare documentation, write, edit, and interpret technical documentation standards and prepare documentation accordingly.

A week in the life of a Technical Writer:
• Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
• Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of the document.
• Ensure content is of high quality and conforms with standards.
• Help author reports, plan and strategy documents, and meeting minutes
Job Requirements
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
• At least (3) years of experience, background, and knowledge of one or more Defense Programs is required.
• BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in English, Communications, or Information Technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Planning and organization skills
Knowledge of software and computers.
• Possesses attention to detail and multitasking

The salary/hourly range for this position is $65,000-$85,000
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law
