Project Engineer – Clifton Forge, VA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute capital investments and collaborate with business units in facility planning.
  • Exhibit project management and engineering leadership to enormous capital projects.
  • Frequent use of the front-end-loading (FEL) process to provide support for evaluations of capital investment.
  • Achieve project design goals by working alongside capital project teams and handle different aspects to ensure safety, cost, schedule, and operational ability expectations are met.
  • Contrive thorough specifications for capital equipment; aim to align technical convenience with the best economic price.
  • Provide safety guidance at all stages of the project
  • Ensure capital equipment and construction contracts meet company’s ideal project goals.
  • Oversee consultants and contractors to organize maintenance activities related to allotted capital projects.
  • Exhibit leadership to coordinate essential capital data consistency as well as other policies, specifications, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field, mechanical or chemical favored. Advanced degree or professional license in engineering preferred.
  • 10 – 15 years of industrial experience with a focus on engineering of capital projects; track record of managing project success required.
  • Possess technical specialty in construction management and/or process design/modifications
  • Ability to work with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and comprehensively use AutoCAD to develop and create.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following: property conservation, risk management, engineering specifications, or materials of construction.
  • Must be willing to travel to other facilities, up to 20% of the time.
