We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Certified / Registered Medical Assistant to join our busy and successful clinic in Mansfield, TX.


The Medical Assistant performs clinical functions such as taking history and vital signs, documentation results, coordinating lab and prescription orders, and assisting with minor office procedures.  Assures optimal patient flow within the clinical areas and communicates issues with physicians, clinical, administrative staff, and management.


This is a great onsite opportunity for the right candidate! A Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 will be paid after 30 days of employment, and you do not need to be a Certified Medical Assistant to be considered for this role on our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinical personnel during patient visits.
  • Remain with the patient during the exam.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of patient visits.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and lab work.
  • Collect specimens.
  • Label and complete lab requisitions, including ICD and CPT coding.
  • Send specimens to lab per patient’s insurance plan.
  • Perform reconciliation of labs and orders and independently follow-up on overdue pending results.
  • Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
  • Process prescriptions and orders as directed by provider.
  • Prepare exam rooms.
  • Stock rooms and reorder supplies. Ensure supplies are received as ordered; follow up on incomplete or inaccurate orders.
  • Sterilize instruments in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Perform patient education.
  • Retrieve voice mail messages and communicate to appropriate staff. Return/triage telephone calls if applicable.
  • Communicate, under clinical supervision, medical results to patients.
  • Ensure all outside records are incorporated into chart or EHR.
  • Track medical non-compliance and contact patients as needed.
  • Complete requests for medical records.
  • Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision is as secure as possible
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Solid verbal communication skills in English required; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
  • Experience with front and back-office responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with patient calls regarding medications, prescriptions, and educational consultations
  • Excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively prioritize work on a daily basis and follow up on open items in a timely manner
  • Able to communicate and work well in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility, reliability, and punctuality


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 
  • Certified and/or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience as detailed above
  • Phlebotomy experience and experience administering injections
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Electronic Medical Record systems knowledge; eClinicalWorks strongly preferred
