Volt has an immediate opportunity for a RF/EMC Engineer in Torrance, California.
The RF/EMC engineer is critical to the effective completion of our ISO/IEC 17025:2107 accredited calibration process and performs the following tasks:
  • Setting up Vector Network Analyzers, conducting S parameter measurements and validating measurements meet product specifications
  • Setting up Digital Storage Oscilloscopes for pulse measurements and validating measurements meet product specifications
  • Trouble shooting failures and measurement issues
  • Recommending solutions to problems and issues
  • Developing, modifying, sustaining and enforcing related policy as well as overseeing the operation and maintenance of lab equipment


Required skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Mil Std, CISPR, ANSI and RTCA-DO-160 standards
  • Able to conduct RF measurements using Vector Network Analyzers
  • Able to conduct pulse measurements using Digital Storage Oscilloscopes
  • Manage the laboratory, especially the RF and Pulse measurements to ISO/IEC 17025
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team setting


Education, Experience:
  • BS EE or Physics with minimum 5 years’ experience in RF testing or Associate’s degree from two-year college, trade school or US Military school with minimum 10 years’ experience with RF/EMC/EMI testing or calibration
