ATTENTION ALL ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONALS IN THE LA AREA - My client is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst for a Food manufacturing facility in the Greater Los Angeles area. This is a full time permanent position with a growing company, offering a competitive base plus benefits, retirement, and additional short and long term incentives.

Summary: As a key member of the financial team, the Sr. Accounting Analyst will help reconcile inventory and conduct variance analysis of operating performance against standards, be involved in the month/year-end close, budgeting and forecasting processes, developing and maintaining internal controls, assist in the corporate accounting function, and assist with internal/external audit. The Sr. Accounting Analyst should have the ability to complete detailed, accurate cost and financial analysis reports in a timely manner to support operations and decision-making. 

Essential Job Functions: 
•Maintain standard costing in Navision including purchase costs, labor and overhead rates, as well as working with operations to maintain accuracy in the BOMs and routings. 
•Prepare comprehensive margin analysis including variance analytics. 
•Provide inventory analytics including E&O reserves, scrap, yields and shrinkage. 
•Prepare operational analytics including capacity and resource utilization. 
•Work with operations to evaluate cost saving initiatives. 
•Support product development and marketing with accurate cost information for new products and tie that into Navision standard costing.
•Provide Navision system support, development and leadership for finance and accounting. 
•Oversight of Item card master data management. 
•Develop and implement procedures and process for operational accounting. 
•Variance analysis versus budget and forecast 
•Assist in building annual budget and quarterly forecasts 
•Cash Flow Forecasting 
•Internal controls processes and documentation 
•Coordinate with internal departments including operations, training, communications, IT, marketing, construction, and HR 
•Support annual audit process 
•Build positive and effective relationships with partners, peers, and management 
•Analyze gross margin, other cost of sales, inventory trends and turnover ratios, and production yield data 
•Prepare audit schedules and footnote disclosures 
•Liaise to business controlling teams for financial accounting and reporting support
•Support process improvements over general accounting and transactional areas 
•Understand Corporate objectives and liaise with business and other Finance discipline units on execution 

Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications & Requirements: 
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 
•CPA preferred 
•6+ years of accounting experience 
• Standard Costing in a Process Manufacturing Environment 
•Proficiency with ERP Systems, Specifically Navision
•Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to interact, influence and align with all levels of the organization, both internal and external 
•Highly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learn 
•Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
•Ability to be flexible, multi-task, have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with software packages (ERP’s) and MS applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
•Strong analytical and technical accounting skills required, including understanding of US GAAP, various financial systems and processes, and internal controls. 
•Capability to meet the business requirements of a diversified internal customer base, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, IT, procurement, Corporate, and Divisions. 
•Ability to focus on business and accounting process improvements and integration. 
•Aptitude to work independently, deal with multiple job assignments and possess the initiative to resolve issues.

Preferred Qualifications: 
•Consumer products industry and/or manufacturing experience is preferable.
