The Bernstein Companies is an award winning diversified Real Estate Investment, Development and Management firm. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Textile Building, our newly renovated historic residential property in Cincinnati's City Center. The Maintenance Technician will be a key member of our team at The Textile & responsible for providing maintenance support and excellence in customer service for our Class A apartment homes featuring modern finishes. We are located in a thriving area near an array of entertainment options from Taft Theatre to Fountain Square and several stadiums including the Great American Ball Park & Paul Brown Stadium.
Key Responsibilities: To provide general maintenance for occupied and vacant apartments as well as for the building and grounds.
- Receives written work orders and carries out assignments within required time frame
- Prepares apartments for turnover in a timely manner
- Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems
- Installs A/C units, heating units and other appliances
- Inspects buildings for water leaks, gas leaks, faulty wires, and other potential safety hazards
- Provides exceptional customer service to residents at all times
- Meets all applicable Fair Housing standards at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
- 1-2 years previous multifamily maintenance technician experience preferred.
- Must be skilled in repair and maintenance of household appliances, air conditioning/heating, painting/drywall, plumbing, and minor electrical
- HVAC Certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff and residents, both in writing and verbally
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Must operate specialized tools
- Must be able to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or above regularly
- Valid Driver’s License
