A growing company is seeking an experienced, long-term temporary-to-full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join the efforts of their dynamic team. Handling project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting, the Senior Financial Analyst consultant is the primary contact for all financial questions. You will need to provide decision-making support for future company investments, as well as perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments in support of public reporting requirements. Los Angeles, California will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. How you will make an impact - Provide dynamic support for all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests - Advance existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate integral updates to senior management - Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance - Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates - Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting - Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership - Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams - Work closely with the Functional leads to provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance plus ensure alignment of operational initiatives

Job Requirements

- Excellent oral and written communication skills - A strong ability to work with office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended - Prior experience with process reengineering and optimization - Applicants are required to hold a Finance, Business, or related field BA/BS degree - Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred - Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint - Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented - General familiarity with SQL - Command of financial modeling - Proven knowledge of investment banking - Wide ranging experience with presentation preparation - Quality experience with Microsoft PowerPoint - Solid understanding of financial analysis - Practical knowledge of enterprise resource planning - Financial reporting experience - Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures experience - Proficiency in financial planning - Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel - Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity - Skills in critical thinking and the ability to operate effectively with management
