What is the Operations Leadership Development Program?

This Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) places you in the centerof some of the most dynamic areas of Siemens business operations. You willlearn the application of LEAN & Six Sigma tools and apply these skills toimprove the business strategy for manufacturing, distribution, supply chain,and procurement in the U.S.

The Manufacturing Program track provides you with the skills needed to become aProcess Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Production Planner,Systems Engineer, Project Manager, Scientist, or Bio-Chemist.

The OLDP is a two-year program that consists of three, eight-month rotationalassignments. Each rotation combines instructional sessions and hands-onexperience. You will receive mentoring from Siemens team of innovators, gain accessto and network with Siemens senior decision-makers and key leaders, and learnwhat it is like to work as part of a company that is solving global challenges.

Manufacturing Program Track
Potential Experiences:

  • Materials Management
  • Improvements to production processes, including those involving dailyoperations; improvement to production lines, project management of technicalimprovements
  • Distribution, including shipping and receiving schedules, supplychain management, and improving processes for inventory management
  • Process improvement using LEAN and Six Sigma
  • Development opportunities with other OLDP Associates at other SiemensHealthineers sites

Majors: BS/BA Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Molding Engineering, Biochemistry and Biology relatedsciences,Industrial Distribution, Automation, Operations/MaterialsManagement, Supply Chain Management

Graduation Date: Must graduate by the program start date, but nomore than one year prior (must graduate by Dec. 2022 or May 2023)

Minimum GPA: 3.2


Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. isrequired


Potential Rotation Locations include but are not limited to: Tarrytown, NY; Glasgow, DE; Walpole; MA;Flanders, NJ; Elkhart, IN

Job Family Responsibilities:
Completes a series of job rotations and project assignments designed to developtechnical competencies in the area of Operations; participates in severallearning workshops and training courses; Develops a well-rounded understandingof the four main process elements of the Supply Chain Operation Reference(SCOR) model: Plan, Source, Make and Deliver.

Education:
BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education andexperience.

Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional principles and skills.Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particulararea of specialization. Typically, some internship experience in related fieldand successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presentedabove.

Key Working Relationships:
Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
