Windstream is searching for an experienced and responsible site acquisition professional to be a subject matter expert for the Fixed Wireless broadband team. The position will work with internal employees and contractors to support all aspects of the fixed wireless network.

Primary Duties:
  • The Sr. Consultant – Site Acquisition is responsible for zoning wireless communications facilities, ensuring the timely submittal of comprehensive, defensible applications and presentation to staff, planning commissions, legislative bodies, and the general public.
  • Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Will serve as a point of contact for the community and/or government agencies involved in implementing zoning regulations.
  • Oversee completion of zoning and permit applications for submittal to various jurisdictions and coordinate the zoning process with inside counsel, outside counsel and other vendors.
  • Attend site visits with architect and/or surveyor to ensure sites are designed to conform to zoning and design requirements.
  • Review survey and site plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with municipal submittal requirements.
  • Work directly with Site Acquisition Director and/or other Site Acquisition and Windstream personnel to provide zoning expertise in all aspects of project.
  • May be involved in ordering and tracking title, survey, structural analyses, lease exhibits and construction plans and drawings as required.
  • Prepare for and present applications for wireless communications facilities to neighborhoods and/or municipal bodies to secure approvals.
  • Must be able to read and interpret surveys and construction drawings.
  • Prepare and update site status reports/databases, site close-out packages, and attend meetings or deployment calls as required.
  • Must effectively interface and provide support to other local departments such as planning, construction, implementation, and operations.
  • Provide both oral and written reports to senior management of status of deployments.
  • Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Process and procedure definition and documentation of best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • College degree and 12 years’ professional level experience related to Fixed Wireless/NetworkEngineering/technical experience with 7 years of site acquisition experience, 7 years in zoning experience and 4-5 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professionallevel related experience desired.
  • Demonstrated leadershipand understanding of site acquisition process and real estate and zoning laws.
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge ofMS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Excellentproblem-solving, phone and people skills.
  • Highly motivated“self-starter” able to work under aggressive project schedules and a fast paceenvironment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • 50% or less travel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
