Our client located in Ramsey, MN is looking to hire a CNC Operator/ Machinist to set-up and operate all VMC Milling equipment. This company specializes in aluminum, stainless and carbon steel extrusion tooling and manufacturing.

Hours: 6:30am - 3pm, Monday-Friday

Pay: 18-24 hr

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of combined formal training and CNC experience, or equivalent
  • Understanding of CNC code programming
  • Knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Use Micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges
  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
  • Ability to be on your feet most of the shift

Responsibilities:

  • Create and compile work procedures to aid in machine set up and operation
  • Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerances
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with various internal work groups to promote a cooperative working climate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure, short deadlines, etc.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain quality and productivity requirements
