JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for managing overall Phoebe Care Command Center operations including staffing, budgeting, planning and regulatory compliance. Directly supervises the RN Access Care Manager Team Lead and Patient Logistics Team Leaders as well as Access Care Managers, Access Coordinators, Advanced Access Coordinators, Transport Coordinator, EVS, Care Management Referral Coordinator and other positions within Care Command. The RN Manager recommends priorities and provides management for functions of utilization review, care coordination, access center and bed management. Helps support the Director to assure consistent clinical practice and outcomes for Utilization Management involving appropriate level of care, resource utilization, EMTALA regulations, transfer coordination and other regulatory duties. The RN Manager works collaboratively with the Director, VP of Patient Logistics and Care Coordination, and the Chief Care Coordination Officer building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; provides education about patient, logistics, access management, EMTALA and other program functions, payer and regulatory requirements including current trends and potential impact on the department, hospital or system. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.

- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
- Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.
- May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- May be scheduled as needed including overtime.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and 4 years of related experience (Required).
- Master's degree (Preferred).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of healthcare logistics experience (Required).
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
- Required Certifications/Licensures: Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license.
