Texoma Medical Center, a 378-bed facility (297 acute, 60 behavioral, 21 rehabilitation) with a 12-room operating suite and eight floors, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Minimum of six (6) months of work experience in a security related field, preferably in a healthcare system.
TX or OK valid drivers license with no more than two (2) moving violations within the last year. Must be able to obtain security license through the Texas Department of Public Safety or Private Security Bureau within six (6) months of hire. Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable. Must be able to obtain certification in handling non-aggressor intervention within six (6) months of hire (i.e., Handle w/Care Maps).
Reading and numerical competency. College level courses in a security centered academic program strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, reading comprehension, report writing, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Independent thinker and excellent decision maker. Basic computer skills in a variety of computer programs, including security camera usage and prox badge issuance capabilities. Able to successfully perform security services safely including effectively de-escalate situations and resolve issues in order to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that sound judgment, calmness, maturity and confidentiality are upheld as appropriate.
