SW Engineer Sr Principal to work in Alexandria, VA: Collect and analyze user requirements and capture them for Agile Scrum methodology features, user stories and technical advice to the product owners. Create dependency matrix where the stories are scheduled, identifying the technical impedances, and creating the technical stories. Design software applications with Low Level Design (LLD). Use design patterns such as Factory, Facade, Builder, and Singleton. Assist architects and technical leads to develop a system design which will help identify the dependency with other modules and various sub-systems. Collaborate with System Architects to improve the development process by enforcing the design standards and Database Analysts to design and build databases and database queries built on top of Object Relational models. Analyze new features in software languages, APIs and frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Camel framework and do the POC to find the best use case for each project. Develop applications using Spring boot, Spring data, Spring MVC, Angular, Jquery, Camel and Hibernate using SVN, GIT, TDD approach using Junit and Jmock, functional testing using groovy and Spock framework. Develop RESTful web service using CXF, Jersey frameworks and spring RESTful layer for the creation of RESTful services using implementation such as Controllers, Service and Repository components. Develop asynchronous programming using JMS API for creating high concurrency and achieve performance and use various libraries such as Jackson, JaxB and SAX parsers to process JSON and XML responses. Develop high concurrency applications using java concurrency and spring asynchronous; design and develop DDL and DML queries to interact with Oracle and MySQL databases. Develop transaction strategies to interact with heterogeneous layers such as databases, file system and streams; and developing data quality script to validate the migrated data. Find bugs and fix functional and security issues in software applications. Use JAVA and JavaScript security standards enforced by specification. Use maven dependency management, Jenkins build and CloudForms Management Engine (CFME) for continuous integration processing and maintenance of applications for end-users. Monitor applications errors as well as developing health check applications to monitor the mainstream applications. Utilize the spring batch and Linux crontab to schedule assignments for routine services at regular intervals. Plan, create documents for release, and create scripts for the release as well as documenting the step-by-step process for the platform team. Develop unit testing processes using Junit, Jmock, Mockito framework and integrate the unit test with the build process to maintain expected code coverage. Perform data quality checks after each migration/release is completed.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twenty-four (24) months experience to include in job or job related duties listed above.
