Chenega Professional and Technical Services, LLC (CPTS) is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). 

 

The ideal candidate will work with contractors and government personnel to determine client needs, gather requirements, perform research and analysis, draft requirements process flow diagrams and other requirements documentation, and provide general project support.

 

The role of the IT Business Analyst is to work with senior consultants in applying industry best practices for asset management while implementing the Service Central.  The IT Business Analyst will play the important role of participating in project workshops, taking notes, and then supporting the development of deliverables to the client in the form of business process definition, functional and technical requirements, standard operating procedures, training materials and system testing materials.

 

This position will offer the opportunity to learn the business methods and processes for Enterprise Asset Management within a global organization. The position will also afford the IT Business Analyst the opportunity to learn and work with customers throughout the world using ServiceNow platform.

  • Perform analysis on business or systems processes to identify improvements.

  • Work with team members and client to understand and define needs and develop and recommend solutions.

  • Define and document business processes and functional requirements that meet the customers mission/business needs.

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures, training materials, and work instructions.

  • Ensure quality of written materials.
  • Provide project updates and technical documentation (i.e. business needs statements, technical specifications, etc.) to clients and stakeholders.

  • Workshop participation.
  • Document meeting minutes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a business analyst.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience and proficiency in preparing planning documents and written reports.
  • Ability to think logically and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate well with a technologically diverse workforce.
  • Experience performing research and analysis for business process improvement.
  • Ability to take charge of tasks (including the development of level of effort) and work with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and writing skills, including editing and proofreading skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing, or potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.  Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
