Accountemps has an exceptional opportunity for a long-term temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company in the Manufacturing industry. Matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Based out of the Stockton, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary opening. What you get to do every single day - Complete special projects on an as-needed basis - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed - Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling - Provide internal and external audit assistance as required - Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies - Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis - Provide support to internal business partners - Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department - Execute full-cycle A/P

Job Requirements

- Background working with Spreadsheets - Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred - Previous experience working with communication - Adeptness in 10 Key Accounting - Microsoft Excel experience desired - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word - Code Invoices experience - Microsoft Excel experience - Practical knowledge of Create Spreadsheets - Earlier work involving Spreadsheet Programs - Good understanding of Update Spreadsheets - Demonstrated knowledge of Account Coding - General familiarity with Account Inquiries - Maintain Spreadsheets experience highly preferred - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred - Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds - 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred Please contact us today at 209.513.9883 for immediate consideration.
