Since 1969, Lakeside has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and Mid-South region. The 345-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illnesses and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.
Key Responsibilities include:
The Next Step Manager is responsible for implementing the UHS Next Step program. The Next Step Manager coordinates campus outpatient opportunities for PHP and IOP levels of care by collaborating with the social services and nursing departments. Ensures patients who are clinically appropriate maximize all treatment options in the Lakeside continuum of care. Supports the outpatient department and business development department to help achieve facility budgeted goals. Responsible for the non-clinical operations of Lakeside’s PHP with boarding program The Lodge at Cresthaven. Supervises the The Lodge at Cresthaven’s peer specialists and coordinates program functions to enhance partial hospitalization with boarding experience. Responsible for all peer specialist administrative support including daily reports, staff scheduling, and payroll. Supports outpatient operations including patient transportation, transitioning patients from inpatient treatment to outpatient treatment, and educating patients on Lakeside’s Next Step program. Serves as a liaison between Lakeside’s inpatient and outpatient program. Participates in marketing and business development activities as needed. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations. This position requires very strong customer service skills and ability. Strong commitment to personal and professional development including continuation of education and career growth required.

Alcohol and drug addiction education or previous case management preferred. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. High School diploma/equivalent required.
3 to 5 years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting required.
Valid Driver License with MVR that complies with facility policy.
Knowledge of the Tennessee behavioral health marketplace and referral sources preferred. Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency diagnoses & symptomology also preferred.
